Ros Byrne Pottery began back in the 80ties in Harare, Zimbabwe. Ros Byrne started production of her unique pottery and opened the workshop for young school leavers to be trained as potters or decorators. After some years the production got more and more professionalised, not only did they sell well to the many tourists, they started whole sale as well.
Textile design was another project. They use different tecniques, blush the dye on the cotton for cusion covers or table cloths or use screen print or most spectacular potato print. The blocs are cut every day to keep the sharpness of the egde. The method is slow but very effectful. The designs and the colour range is developed by the people who produce it. .
